Open Social API

Are there any plans to implement an Open Social compliant API? http://www.opensocial.org/

For example enabling Share to be an Open Social Platform so we can embed Social Apps in it?

I think that it could be done easily implementing some WebScripts in a Surf application to expose an Open Social API.
For example the Alfresco CMIS implementation is based on a group of WebScripts.
