Old plugins supported on newer alfresco community ?

I am new to Alfresco, i have installed Alfresco community 5.0 d,

i want to install a good annotator addon, currently i feel only groupdocs is available. But groupdoc addon is supported for alfresco 4.0.x can i install it in 5.0 d with some changes or as is ? please guide.

When you find an addon not supported, the best thing to do is to ask the addon's author to fix it, or maybe guide you on how to fix it.

In order to answer your question, anyone not knowing the addon would have to grab the source code and understand how it was built, and I think it will be hard to have someone doing that for you.

You could try to do that by yourself, and then asking specific questions about the problems you find.

1- I am asking can i install the addons meant for older version of alfresco community in the latest community version?

2- Do you have any idea about the good image/office doc annotation addon which can be installed in latest alfresco community releast (5.0.d).?

So, the only way to know if it will or not work is testing

About knowing a good annotation tool, I know TSG has one, but I know nothing about the functionality
