Observation Manager Equivalent

Hi All,

It appearst that Alfresco currently doesn't support the optional obeservation feature of JCR, but there must be an equivalent way to subscribe an asynchronous event listener?  I have a remote client, and I'll need to subscribe to asynchronous event notifications on the server.  (Is this done with Rule/Action services?)  If someone could point me in the right direction, I'd be most grateful.

You're correct this behaviour is not provided at the moment.  Also, there is no remote api for registering an asynchronous event listener.

You could add a custom action which performs some form of notification (via jms or whatever) which is triggered by a rule on the server.
