Not able to create new site

Hi,

I tried to create new site in alfresco. After I filled the required information, the OK button is not enabled.
Due to this reason, I was not able to create any new site.

Any help would be welcomed.

What information did you fill-in exactly? Note the instructions under the "URL Name" field.

I had the same problem and it was related to spaces in the URL field. Make sure there are "NO" spaces when you type the name of the site. Do not use spaces or special characters.<–these are the notes under the URL field

Hi Mike,

Thanks. Your reply gave me a clue of what mistake I was doing. I corrected it and now I am able to create a site. In connection to that I have another issue.

After creating a new site. I created some users and groups and was trying to invite certain users to join in the site.
When we were sending a invite request, the invitation send request failed.

When I press the invite button, The process wait image is shown for a period of time and after sometime the message says "0 invite(s) sent out, 1 message failed".
Any Idea how to rectify this issue. Also, Is there another way we can allow set of users to assign access rights to a custom site.

Check the outbound e-mail configuration - there are notes in the installation guide.

You can add people to sites via group management, but currently the only way to add individuals is via the invite mechanism.
