Not able to connect to Alfresco after installation

Hi,
I have installed and configured Alfresco Lab 3b on Ubuntu server 8.04.1 by following this tutorial: http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Installing_Alfresco_Lab_3b_on_Ubuntu_8.04. The installation went apparently well. However, I don't manage to connect to Alfresco using either http://HOSTNAME:8080/alfresco/ or http://HOSTNAME:8080/share/.
Does anyone have an idea about what is going wrong?

Is there any exception in alfresco.log?
