I am having a similar problem I found posted earlier except the posted solution hasn't really helped.
The problem is I can't export my model to BPMN because my user tasks have no assignee, candidate users, candidate groups set

I can't solve how to get assign something.  The Problem view for user tasks under Main config has Performer type, but selecting somehing has no effect.  In fact, the change doesn't hold after saving.

Can I trouble somone to explain in some detail what exactly are the steps to solve this problem?

Thanks.

Hi,

When you include a user task it's required to specify an assignment. You can do this in the properties view of the user task.

When I select a user task, the properties panel has five tabs:  General, Main config, Form, Listeners, Multi instance.  Main config seems to have the relevant entries.  A drop down for Performer type and text boxes for:  Expression, Form key, Due date, Priority, and Documentation.  I am not sure which of these constitutes an "assignment"?  Changing Performer type always reverts back to Assignee after saving.  There has to be something else I need to do, but it remains a mystery.

Thanks.

Hi,

You have to to set the assignment in the main config tab. First you have to select a performer type and then you have to fill-in the expression.
So for example choose the assignee performer type and type in "kermit" as an example user in the expression field.

Best regards,
