newbie: developing apps. over Alfresco

Hi there,

this is a really simple and newbie question (sorry if evident).

I have seen that Alfresco looks very good as CM tool, but I would like to use it like "platform" for building other apps. based on a CM-centric intranet.

Can I use it for that? Do you have any example application build? What do I have to take into consideration?

Yes, you can.  Alfresco can be used as a platform for building rich CM oriented applications.  Of course, the Alfresco Application provides a sophisticated example of this - all the source code is available to browse.

In v1.3, we'll be introducing a new Developer Bundle as a seperate download enabling developers to start developing with Alfresco as quickly as possible.  It'll provide pre-built jars, samples, source code etc.
