Thanks for your help.
I have to use WSF to develop a small project. In that we need to use Image Management as we have lot of work with images.

I dont know how to do Image Management in WSF.

Can you please through some light on this?

Hi,

What image management functionality are you looking in your implementation? This is something I'm looking into to as well.

Hi,

Oh ok. I was thinking you wanted to manage images, that get uploaded by content authors when they are creating articles or news items. They will be using the Web forms in WCM to create this content.

If you are scanning documents in and managing them as images, it would better to use the DM to do it. You can then create web scripts that can be triggered when files are "dropped" or created in spaces in the DM. These scripts can convert and / or tag the images and then copy across to the WCM.

See http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/JavaScript_API#Cross_Repository_Copy for details of how to copy items across repositories.

Using the DM to manage the images, you can use the image thumbnail feature mentioned in the previous post.

Hi,
I think I  can't use DM for my Image management.
Our requirement is: We want to develop a website using WSF and put a login page for it. User can render user name and password and enter into the restricted area. User can upload scanned image with unique id. Later on user should have the facility to access the image by using id. He must be allowed to edit and drop the image.

Is it possible to do it by using WSF?

If possible then please guide me in this regard.

Thanks..
