Mysql database vs MSSQL database- Support,Performance

Hi,
Need help in choosing the right database for Activiti. Criteria is that the community support and performance should be good between activiti and the database. As part of our organization we have DBA support for Mysql and Sqlserver. Need to decide what would be the best choice.

-Has anyone benchmarked performance of Activiti with Mysql vs MSSql?
I have seen one on oracle vs mysql http://www.jorambarrez.be/blog/2012/06/28/the-activiti-performance-showdown/
but need one for Mssql.

-Any issues that people may have faced with one of these 2 database in terms of support, stability, installation/configuration?
