Multilingual categories

I saw that the category description is multilingual.
Even if one have to login with each language to set the translations 
Unfortunately, the label shown in the web interface is always the 'name' property (not translated) :cry:
If I want the categories to be used in a multilingual way, I have to replace the display of the name property in every screen. (right?)
Is it a good idea? Could you give me an idea of the work load?
What are the screens (only jsp?) involved?
Should the categories become really multilingual in a future version?

I think that the categories are still not multilingual (right?)
So, a french user can see all the web interface in french and all the data translated in french but the category are still in the original language!?
Any idea about when the categories will be multilingual?

I'll try to achieve this myself:
If I want the categories to be used in a multilingual way, can I replace the 'name' of the category  by the 'description'(multilingual) in every screen where a category is displayed?
