Hi all,

Got a question.

When we create or upload content from web browser, it allows us to modify content properties for the files that we created/uploaded.

Wonder if this possible, if the user upload a file using CIFS (copy and paste from windows explorer), the web browser will pop up and allow the user to modify content properties.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

No, it's not technically feasible.   You can run the code on the server side when you add content, but we have no control of the client side.

Hello,

I'm looking to add properties to content beyond "Description" and "Author", such as "Date" or any other customized field.

Is this possible?

This is done via Alfresco's content modelling functionality, which is described at http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Data_Dictionary_Guide.  There's also a training course available (http://www.alfresco.com/services/training/courses/alf2120/) that covers this topic in detail.

Cheers,
Peter
