Missing web.xml, JAVA_HOME is different from system settings

I am running Alfresco 1.2 on Windows 2000 Server with the included Tomcat, OpenOffice 2.0 downloaded and installed, and MySQL 4.1.8.  JDK is 1.5.0.06…

I don't have the web.xml file in the /tomcat/webapps/alfresco/WEB-INF folder and the Tomcat startup is letting me know it.  Where should this come from?

Also, the JAVA_HOME path points to the JRE, not the SDK even though I added JAVA_HOME to the system paths.  I changed the paths for each item installed above, more disk on d: than on c:.

Any help will be appreciated.

web.xml should be inside alfresco/WEB-INF. How did you install Alfresco?

Regarding JAVA_HOME you must change the environment variable in ControlPanel -> System -> Advanced -> Environment Variables -> System Variables

Change JAVA_HOME there to point to your JDK and restart Alfresco.

Hope this helps.
