Is it  possible extract more info from avi and mpg file? using mplayer for extract many info.

Hi,
as far as I know, ther is currently no avi- or mpg-file meta data extractor.
But, as shown here http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Metadata_Extraction#Developing_Your_Own you can develop your own extractor and perhaps contribute it back to the community.
I don't know if you can use mplayer achieving this, but give it a try and let me know if it works.

There's many examples in the SDK, download it and take a look at the files in org.alfresco.repo.content.metadata.*Extractor
