Maximum file size

I am starting on a new project and wanted to know how Alfresco handles large files (greater than 500 MB). Anyone have any performance/benchmarks?

I only can suggest to you to use Alfresco Benchmarks Tool to improve performance of your repository setting the right cache dimensions.

As long as you use one of the streaming APIs (ie not SOAP) then the impact of filesize is fairly negligable.    Your performance will probably be dependent on the I/O capabilities of your disk and network rather than alfresco.

For streaming large files your benchmarks will be your own and won't be comparable to someone else's.
