Hi all,
Im trying to install Alfresco on mac os X server.
Ive downloaded 'Alfresco_tomcat.tar.gzip' edition unpacked and installed the mysql files. From what I can tell the app starts fine, but when I go to 'localhost:8080/alfresco' I get an error message saying that it cant find alfresco?

Anyone else had this issue?
Cheers
Mathew.

Check what the alfresco log fil(es) says - there is most likely an error there. If you like you can use the "Console.app" to inspect the log file. Rememeber to have the MySQL JDBC connector copied into the alfresco install…

Ya, I tried again last night to install with mysql at the DB, the key is to be really a n a l, Alfresco likes only fixed file addresses to power the install, so you have to /opt/alfresco/rest of folders - not what i did which was /opt/alfresco/alfresco/ and assume that the installers would auto-update.

Also with the mysql dont rename the files just delete them.

Their needs to be better documentation for use with this CMS, while the app itself if free the knowledge on how to use it, is going to be expensive i can imagine,
