Linux install error on EC2

Im trying to install the Community 4.0.d version using the linux x64 installer. I have tried two different versions of Linux, both of them are micro instances. In both cases I get an error right before 50% saying that it failed to create a symlink to postgres/bin/postmaster. Any ideas? Do I need to try a different instance type with more memory?

This is permission issue
you are executing  the file  as user which may not have permission in directory  which you want to install or
You don't have permission to install it as services .

Can you give more information about the type of installation
Did you try option 1 or Option 2 [Advanced]
If you had slected option 2, you need to have postgresql already installed  and running
I might have done 4.0.d installation on inux at least 10-15 times to test or for demo, I have not faced any problem so far
