Alfresco Community Edition has no hard limits in terms of number of users, number of records, or size of storage. The only limits are those imposed by your operating system and file system. However, it is intended to be run on a single server.
Alfresco One Enterprise Edition has additional features that allow for clustering multiple servers, integration with proprietary databases that have additional scalability features, and a content store selector that make it easier to span storage across multiple filesystems.
