I am trying to deploy Alfresco into a Liferay 4.3.3 + Tomcat 6.0 bundle. I have been having trouble getting Alfresco to show up anywhere in the list of options for "Add Content"; I was looking for an Alfresco category somewhere under which different portlets could be added.
Is there a list of "usual suspects" for the portlets not being visible under Liferay? (I have been trying to follow http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Deploying_2.1WAR_Liferay4.3 as discussed in the Liferay forums at http://www.liferay.com/web/guest/community/forums/message_boards/message/247841.
Thanks,

Did you check for Alfresco (sub-)category under 'CMS' ?
Maybe too obvious but at least the alfresco-content-portlet should show up without any problems.
regards,
Peter

Also, does it look like the alfresco.war file deployed correctly? Look in the Tomcat webapps subfolder and see if alfresco has been exploded in there.
I've found the LifeRay deployer can sometimes get confused over relative paths when trying to find the webapps subfolder.
Thanks,
Mike
