LDAP authintication with dot in usernames

I have configured the LDAP authentication and synchronization and it does sync all my users successfully, but since my users have a dot in their active directory usernames, they can not login! some users who do not have dots can login with no problem.
To do a little test, I changed my username in active directory to remove the dot in it, restarted the service. Now the aflresco user base has me without dot in it, but surprisingly I can not login (even after removing the dot).

Any idea how this can be solved?

Hello,

All of my users have a dot in their user names, but they can login.

On the hand:
Please check if your users have a display name. I had similar problem where my users couldn't login because of that. It was very weird because the authentication worked, but they couldn't login. I remember that there was an exeption error about that in my catalina.out file, that's how I found out what the problem was and after some research on internet I managed to resolve it by adding display names to all users. After that no error msg, no problems loging in. Everyone was happy Smiley Happy

Hi,
i am facing timestamp error at LDAP configure with alfresco

Caused by: java.text.ParseException: Unparseable date: "20150708094219.409Z"

that ".409" does not match the pattern you specify.

Try with:
ldap.synchronization.java.naming.security.principal=admin@domain.com
Instead of:
ldap.synchronization.java.naming.security.principal=uid=admin,ou=system
