Is there anyone who can give me the configuration file to chain ldap+alfresco user authentication ?

The example given in "chaining" doesn't cover this topic, and I couldn't manage to do it…

Thanks in advance.

I've tried everything…
in the tomcat/shared/classes/alfresco/extension
and i had them in my amp package…
at the moment i moved them back to the shared/classes/alfresco/extension folder.

I've already tried it with a clear alfresco.war

I'm using tomcat, alfresco community.

I've just downloaded the alfresco tomcat 2.1 zip package and inserted my ldap-auth… config files to the shared/classes/extension folder
i've edited the credentials fields like you told and on startup of the server i can see that alfresco had sent a request to the ldap server:

==> bdb_bind: dn: uid=roman,ou=swipe.de,ou=users,o=swipe,dc=swipe,dc=de
bdb_dn2entry("uid=roman,ou=swipe.de,ou=users,o=swipe,dc=swipe,dc=de")

that looks good. but if i try to log in as the same user roman… nothing happens (Unable to login - unknown username/password.)
do you know what i've done wrong?

Hi,

First off, just to be on the safe side I'll say that your files should go in: shared/classes/alfresco/extension not shared/classes/extension.

Other than that I don't see why it wouldn't work unless the user (uid=roman,ou=swipe.de,ou=users,o=swipe,dc=swipe,dc=de) does not have access to all the users and groups. You can easily test that with an LDAP browser.

Regards,

–Alaaeldin

sorry, the location is shared/classes/alfresco/extension
my mistake…
yesterday I've debugged the application, and it seems that the authentication fails…
and it's not an alfresco problem but ours. A "bad credentials exception" is thrown…
but nowhere reported or shown (Just the in the login screen: Unable to login - unknown username/password)

thx

the bean id should be "authenticationService" instead of "authenticationServiceImpl" in the chaining-authentication-context.xml  :x

thx anyway friends

Hey everybody.

I've tried to implement the LDAP authentication on my Alfresco community 2.1 with the examples given by Rivet Logic without success. The Alfresco Is not able to get the users from our LDAP server.I've changed so far the-

- java.naming.provider.url
- java.naming.security.principal (<value>uid=proxy,o=***********,c=**</value>)
- java.naming.security.credentials (passwd for the user above)
- Changed the name of authenticationServiceImp to authenticationService in chaining…xml
- property name="userNameFormat" <value>cn=%s,ou=**********,o=***********,c=**</value>

The log doesn't show any errors, but I cannot login with my ldap username/passwd.

Am I missing something?
