Kofax and Content Transformation

Hi,

I want to transform a PDF to a PDF OCR (and removing blank sheets).

I am trying Kofax Express (and "capture bites commander" to execute Kofax on the command line (http://capturebites.com/commander/)). My idea is to run Kofax in a rule in Alfresco (with a content transformation : http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Content_Transformations)

Has someone already done it ? (or the same with another product?)


Alfresco community 4.0.D with Windows server.

I have never used Kofax with Alfresco, but I have used Ephesoft which works well with the same technology stack and licensing.

Do you use content transformation with Ephesoft ? (a rule in Alfresco can transform a PDF to PDF OCR) ?

At this time we cannot run Kofax from Alfresco.
We have tried to run Autobites (http://capturebites.com/autobites/) which run Kofax and Kofax saves into Alfresco.

Autobites cannot run at services. So, we need to open a windows session… and this is not a good solution… if the server restart.

Has someone successfully run Kofax as service ? (Scanner -> Kofax -> Alfresco) ?
