Hi,
I have been trying to add some documents to Alfresco share. but i am getting this error which is blocking the upload. Can anyone please guide me???

The error is likely to be caused elsewhere - are there any problems evident in the log files / Tomcat consoles? If this is repeatable, maybe try switching on the IE8 JavaScript debugger to see the real source of the error.
Note: I've tested Share with IE8 (in fact v3.2 has the "IE8 standards mode" metadata tags) and haven't come across this issue.

i have never used the debugger functionality before on IE. Can you please elaborate on how i can use it?

It's in Tools / then Developer Toolbar I think. Then on the pop-up there's a "Start Debugging" button.
