Long answer: As far as I know, ticket-based authentication is not a feature of CMIS, but Alfresco supports it through a custom interpretation of the user name and password fields. As such I do not know of any standard CMIS service to retrieve a ticket to be used in later authentications.

Hello,

you can retrieve tickets by calling the ReST API Login operation. It has remained stable so the documentation for Alfresco 2.1 still applies to 4.x in this aspect.

Regards
Axel
