Hello
I wonder if I can send a email notification announcement from Alfresco Calendar to particular group of Alfresco users or a Alfresco group for some event that is defined in the future?
I currently use Alfreco Comunity 5.1.f version
Thank you in advance

You can set up and use folder rules for the calendar folder within a site to automatically execute a rule to send emails to users / groups. I remember Jeff Potts having done something in this regard a while ago. For time-based emails you would need to implement a custom job.

I'm afraid there is no such feature by default. I think it can be implemented by calling calendar service and scheduled job api.

Can you help me and refer me the documentation which I need to study in order to do such a thing?

Axel Faust, thanks for the link to my post on one-way calendar integration, but that add-on is for sending events from external calendar systems into a Share Site calendar.
I think what bbukvic _ is trying to do is send a reminder notice to people X days before an event on a Share calendar happens.
If that is the case, I'd implement this as a custom scheduled action that does a date range search against event objects as Kayne suggests. The only trick would be figuring out who should be notified. I suppose you could get the site that contains the calendar event and then notify all of the site members.
