Hi all -

On an Alfresco test system I have (Ubuntu 12.04x64 server, Alfresco 4.2.b) I am trying to upload (restore?) a Site to the repository via FTP.

I've been able to restore Blog and Document Library, but other Site features (Calendar, Discussion, Links, Wiki, etc.) do not appear in the Site when viewed via Share.

Is it possible to simply restore or import a complete site with all of its features into Share?

Many thanks,
Trevor

No.   FTP is file/folder projection.   Blogs, calendar, share internals are more than just file/folder.

I think I understand what you mean.  I've just been having problems migrating from 4.0.e to 4.2.b - the database.backup seems to cause an abundance of SEVERE and WARN entires to be barfed up in catalina.out.

I'm pressed to get something working because of operational needs, so I'm looking for a work-around to see if I can avoid the alf_data/database.backup route.  In the background, I'm going to keep working at getting the usual migration route to work.

You may be able to use an acp import/export.   I know its not recommended but for a single site and between those versions it may work.

But the way to do this is to upgrade.
