Is Alfresco (3.1) compatible with Windows Vista/Windows 7?

I am using version 3.1. Is this compatible with windows vista or windows 7?

Most of Alfresco won't care what OS it is running on.

3.2 is the supported and tested version for Vista.

In our setup, the Alfresco instance is installed on Windows Server 2003. When logging into Alfresco via a web link, user is logged in automatically using the user's windows credentials managed within active directory. However, when trying to access Alfresco from a Vista or Windows 7 machine, it keeps asking for a username and password. It stills asks for the username and password even though the correct credentials have been inserted. It works fine on all other machines (XP and 2000).

Is this an Alfresco issue or a network issue?

Hi Team,

We have installed Alfresco Community Edition 3.0 + Active direc.

Alfresco is not working (opening) with this combination windows 7 + IE, windows 7 + Firefox, windows 7 + Chrome or i guess alfresco is not opening in windows 7 any browser for that matter. In our office many are using windows 7.

When http://XXXX/alfresco is typed in the adress bar, a pop up opens asking for user NT name and password. the pop up is not going even after giving the correct credentials.

Its an high priority issues. Is there any solution available. i tried the solution form the following post

Please help me out to fix the problem.

Yes, Alfresco can be installed in windows 7.

The thing is it cannot be accessed via IE browser and in firefox later version  > 3.6

Please expand on exactly what problems you're seeing. Also, make sure this is raised in JIRA if it's a reproducible problem.

Meantime i will raise an issue in JIRA. Good that you remined me about JIRA. You can reproduce this issue.
