Inviting Someone to a Site - Error

I am a newby to Alfreso. I was wondering when I try to add a user to a site that I have created, it gives me the error "0 invites sent out, 1 failures"
I am running Alfresco Comm version 3.3 and running on Win Server 2003 with MySQL 5.1

I would also like to know how to make someone else responsible for the site where they can manage it once I have created it.

Thank you,

Cody Frieden

The most likely probem is that you have not configured your email server.

Look in your alfresco.log file for details of why the invitation failed.

Thank you so much! Just saw the log - didn't know what I was looking for -

Caused by: org.springframework.mail.MailSendException: Mail server connection failed; nested exception is javax.mail.MessagingException: Could not connect to SMTP host: smtp.alfresco.com, port: 25;

Where is this file located within the Alfresco folder where I can make this change?

Hello again,

Thank you all for your help. I just found out that 3.2r2 install allowed me to invite others to a site, however, I had to be on the administrator account. I will test this again with version 3.3 and see if I get the same thing. I am also trying to tie Alfresco with AD and create it to run as a service, so far, I haven't been able to get it to run as a service…although I did get MySQL to run as a service. :roll:

How is it going?

And by the way, what is AD?  :roll:

hi

AD Means Active Directory…… Smiley Happy

Indulge:       http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Active_Directory

you can integrate your alfresco with many other apps. AD being 1 of them.
