Hello everybody !
First, sorry for my English (i'm french
).
I am currently investigating the suitability of Activiti to be included into a Liferay portal as a workflow engine.
But the goal is not to replace the Liferay workflow engine himself, but to build a business process engine customized according to the goals of the business application we need to develop.
Are there any people here who have already done this kind of integration (not only into Liferay Portal, but in J2EE application globally) ?
Are there any people who have already developped business engine thanks to Activiti ?
Also, we'll need to develop a task manager/viewer as the activiti explorer (but we can't use directly Activiti explorer according to business rules). Is it easy to make through Activiti API ?
If you have any further informations about
clustering/load balancing architecture compatibility with Activiti,
API features which can help us to build and manipulate business processes
YOU ARE WELCOME.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Regards

Do a little searching… All of your questions will be answered in detail then…
For now: Yes, people developed 'business engines' using activiti, yes people use it in j2ee, yes it is easy to build your own taskmanager with the api
And no bumping please…

Thank you for your response and sorry for the bumping.
I know I can find answers searching through the web but I wanted to have live feed backs from people having developped this kind of application. And I need this experience because the purpose of my questions is to propose an architecture in the scope of a big project for us. It is not just brainstorming or technology watch…
Thanks for other replies.
