Just some pieces of advice:
1. If you talk in your installation manual about a script named alfredo.sh PROVIDE IT! There are only windows batch files!
2. A Wiki is definitely a good substitute for a concise(!!!!) installation manual!
3. Why are there so many properties files with the same name in different locations? Don't you think that this is not the most user-friendly approach to install your app?
4. Talking about being user-friendly. Altogether, the installation with the missing concise manual that covers everything and not only some small pieces of information is not user-friendly. See also number 2.

Well, due to all the above mentioned points, we certainly will not buy alfresco ! :x

Hi,

Did you download and try to install the WINDOWS bundle rather than the LINUX bundle?

In the LINUX bundles, which are also for MAC, you will find the 'alfresco.sh' file that you are 'missing'.

Well, I downloaded the files from http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=143373&package_id=157460&release_id=488010
The files I downloaded were the war distribution, the tomcat distribution and according to your advice the Linux-Install. But MAC cannot execute Linux binaries!!!!!!!!!

So you downloaded the Linux versions of the files, not the Windows versions:

alfresco-community-tomcat-2.0.0.tar.gz
or
alfresco-community-war-2.0.0.tar.gz

I also assume you have read our WIKI page on how to install on the MAC?
