Hi,
I have been installing Alfresco-Community-3.2r2 on RedHat Enterprise Linux 5.4 x86_64. I am using SUN java
jdk-1.6.0_17-fcs (I have removed the openjdk java)
However, I frequently see the following in the catalina.out log …
Caused by: org.mozilla.javascript.EcmaError: TypeError: Cannot read property "localName" from null (file:/opt/Alfresco/tomcat/webapps/share/WEB-INF/classes/alfresco/site-webscripts/org/alfresco/components/dashlets/rssfeed.get.js#37)
Can anyone give me a clue on the problem here?
Thanks in Advance

I have this same error. I think it has to do with RSS feeds on a dashboard. At first i thought it was caused by Alfresco not being able to access the internet, which it needs to collect the feeds. But opening the firewalls didnt solve it for me. I will investigate it further.

hi,
was you able to find a fix for this problem?
does there exist a possibility to define a Proxy-Server for the request from alfresco?
best regards
thomas

On the environments i saw this problem, the server had no access to the internet. When i talked about opening firewalls Alfresco should have used a proxy to access the internet and i found no way of telling alfresco/tomat of using that proxy.
I created this ticket, but it will not be picked up
https://issues.alfresco.com/jira/browse/ALF-1518
