Installation on windows 2008R2

I have downloaded the 2.4.f 64 bit version of alfresco and Tomcal fails to launch.  Error is as follows in the common daemon log

is PostgreDB service running?
Which kind of JDK are you running?
Need more info to try to help you…

Are you using dedicated java instance or one which is shared across applications?
