Installation on Tomcat

I have been following the http://docs.alfresco.com/community/tasks/alf-war-install.html guide for installing Alfresco on Tomcat. After downloading alfresco-community-5.0.d the only ".war" files that were in webapps were: share.war, solr4.war and alfresco.war,
However it mentions that there should be two more: ROOT.war and _vti_bin.war. Are these .war files no longer needed? Or should I have them? If they're no longer needed should I still delete the ROOT directory in tomcat/webapps

Any help on this matter will be appreciated.
Thanks

Those two WebApps are for VTI (Sharepoint protocol).     If you want SPP on community then they are required.
