Hi Everyone,

I originally set up a test version of Community 4.2.c on a windows 2008 server. Few issues in getting it running but basically All good!!

Excellent product.

After deciding to implement a live version chose Community 4.2.c to run on Centos 6.4. That said I have had no end of issues.

Have installed using command line both advanced and easy without luck.

Tomcat appears OK. Java 1.7 installed.States all services running but cannot get to /share or /alfresco pages. Just says

HTTP Status 404 - /share

type Status report

message /share

description The requested resource is not available.

Apache Tomcat/7.0.30

What is the best way to trouble shoot this issue?

Thanking you in anticipation!

Regards,

Peter

Resolved.

Simply point 127.0.0.1 to required public address via mod in /etc/hosts file.

That's not likely to be correct.    I'd expect you need to set the external IP address in /etc/hosts.

But in general when alfresco fails to start your first port of call is the alfresco.log file.   In the event that alfresco fails to start there should be clues there.
