Hi,

I'm totaly new here on alfresco, I started this as ordered by my teacher to see the defrences between alfresco and Microsoft's Sharepoint.

But, to be honest, I've never used Sharepoint.
My school is working with it so I saw that it is possible to manage and make a total website in Sharepoint. (menu's, content)
But is this also possible in alfresco? (and with what kind of modules?)

Yes it is possible.   I suggest you look at Web Quick Start.

This is what I tried a few times already but when I try to view is (website url is wcmsq) it gets this message:
Error

Sorry, there seems to be a problem with this part of the page.
But I followed the video tutorial from the alfresco website, what do I do wrong?

Which version of Alfresco did you try wcmqs, I tried on Head and it seems to be
fine. Alfresco 3.4a did threw the same error for me too. I think the issue has been fixed.

I am using the 3.4.a version of alfresco on linux.
Would it be better to use the 3.3 edition?

So this is an issue on 3.4a?  I downloaded it yesterday (via windows installer), ran everything today and am getting the same error at start up for wcmqs.  Everything else works fine.  How can I get the fix or where can I find it if it's available?

Is there already a solution for this problem?

Sorry for the delay in responding. There is a known issue with the Web Quick Start installer that means the correct password isn't being set for it to connect to the repository.

Please see my post on the Web Quick Start forum for information about how to work around the problem. If you are are using 3.4.a then I recommend updating to the most recent nightly build (which you can find here: http://dev.alfresco.com/downloads/nightly/dist/). This does still have the same installer issue, but has other enhancements that are worth having.
