Hi,
I have configured an inbound email on alfresco 3 stable. Everything works fine and now I would like to add another tenant on the same server and be able to send emails to that other tenant. I have succesfully created new tenant and took Node DBID of one of newly created space in my new tenant.
Unfortunately, it doesn't work, when I try to send an email to ([Node DBID]@myserver) I get the following error response:
The email address '1109@myserver' does not reference a valid accessible node. (state 18).
The question is: is Node DBID unique across all tenants? And if it isn't, is it possible to use inbound email on servers with more than one tenant?
Regards,
Laki

Inbound email is not a supported feature for MT and alfresco has no plans for supporting it in near future. Also the code changes to implement these feature are non trivial.

would you explain what means non trivial.
because non trivial is different based on level of programming knowledge.

I think this is extremely important feature and it should be on the road map asap. Inbound emails are giving extremely flexibility on usage of document management system, users don't have to manually upload their attachments and store their emails.
Problem occurs when we have numerous organization units within same organization. If company has a word wide offices that acting as independent organization units, then we are in deep problem if we don't have MT inbound email feature.
Also, very common situation is when company wants to provide tenant accounts for their clients as a premium (or whatever kind) services, they will loose inbound emails feature.
Inbound email feature is commonly asked feature to implement for large organizations and I believe it should be out there asap.
Please consider our thoughts on this, since it could give as more clients for selling alfresco implementations.

To get something onto the roadmap it needs to be in JIRA. And have lots of votes. You can discuss on forums - but its no more than discussion.
And bending the ear of one of the Alfresco product managers at one of the community events probably helps as well.
