Import filesystem (web content)

Hi,
I tried to search whether this question is answered, couldn't locate a post readily.
I would like to whether Alfresco WCMS support migrating existing web content from a file system to its repository.
If so, is it a like a manual process or we can write some mapping script to do that as a batch process ?

One way is to zip it up and import the zip file.

Or you can copy it it via one of the remote interfaces like CIFS or ftp.
