Implement parallel execution in Activiti

I went through the article on implementing parallel execution in Activiti using Apache Camel Integration.

Just wondering, with the latest version  of Activiti engine

Is it possible to execute parallel tasks in Activiti without the need for integrating with Apache Camel?

If yes, which version of Activiti Engine has the capability and how to realize the same?

So you don't need Apache Camel anymore.
