Hello,

Is there any way to linking two documents (present as contents in alfresco repository, in any space)?

Mean, if I open up a document (content), it should have a hyperlink, upon clicking the same I should move to another document, provided I must have permissions to open that 2nd document too.

If you have any information/suggestions or any java sample code in support to that, please share. Will be kind!

Thank you,
Amit.

Linking within documents will be dependent on the document app you use. E.g. if you link MS Excel docs and you didn't have permission to access some of the linked MS Excel files, then they won't load up.

Zaizi, thanks for that part of answer!

Will be great if you or someone can please share sample code (JAVA API) for linking documents(contents).

My project scenario/requirement is if 1 get's a document in the alfresco repository then he/she should able to get all related document to it (present with in the repository); which according to me is possible in alfresco if the documents are linked.

Thanks
Amit.

This is the how you create links in the Alfresco http://dev.alfresco.com/resource/docs/java/repository/org/alfresco/service/cmr/repository/NodeServic....

Checkout Alfresco source code and search for example of how the code is used. Wiki has information on this as well at http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Data_Dictionary_Guide#Non-Child_Associations.
