How to write Alfresco version information into content file?

I'd like to be able to store Alfresco's version info in my XML files so that it's visible to authors/reviewers during editing. I can setup the elements in my content DTD however I need to, but how do I go about having Alfresco populate this info on check-in? Or, if this should be done via an XSLT transform, I can do that too. But I need to know how to get the Alfresco information to pass to the transform.

On a side note, is there a bug with Version Notes? When I check in content, I enter a Version Note (or is it Version Label?). But when I view Version History, these items never show up.

Hi,

Any update on the Version Notes?  I compiled a tutorial for my colleagues to use, and one item is adding version notes. Out of all of them (15 people) not one showed the version notes.

If you have figured this out could you provide the fix.

Thanks,
Bradley

The version notes do not display for "Minor Changes" but if you uncheck the "Minor Changes" the version notes will be displayed.

Can i change this behavior so that the Edit-Field for "Version-Notes" will be displayed also on "Minor changes"?
