Is there an optimum firewall configuration for an Alfresco installation?
We would like to connect Alfresco to the Internet and only allow http, webdav and ftp access, smb access only from localhost and as many of the ports shielded off as possible. We observe Alfresco opening lots of ports and would like to close them off. Also: is there any security risk opening the samba ports? How to handle ftp with the firewall? Is Alfresco running active and /or passive ftp mode?
Are other people also connecting Alfresco to the Internet, or is it better to run it behind a firewall? Are there any know security risks?
Lots of questions, but any help will be greatly appreciated.
