I would like to be notified by e-mail when someones creates a space in my company home?

Yes, you can Create a Rule at the root of your home space and make it "inherited". Make it an "INBOUND" rule (the default) and it will fire whenever something enters or is created in the space. You can then select the Email action type to execute when the rule fires - and put whatever you want (including template) in the email.
