How to remove or disable no need service of alfresco

Hi,I use alfresco as a content repository like database.Alfresco has many many service,but i only need core service(can read content from alfresco or put content file into alfresco,control content version and permission).Some services is not need for me,eg.WEBDAV,FTP,IMAP,WEBSCRIPTS,WORKFLOW,WCM…)
My question is :how to remove or disable the service that not need for me.
I try to modify application-context.xml,and remove some imported service,but when startup alfresco,it can't startup.
There is so much configuration files,how to modify it?

Anyone can help me,give me some suggestions?

Most of those remote interfaces can be turned off by a single property (WEBDAV, FTP, IMAP).   Webscripts can't.    WCM needs to be bootstrapped in the first place so just don't do it.      

However if you are set on modifying the application-context then that's the way to go,  but you will need to resolve the problems caused.    Unfortunatly its not as simple as it should be.
