How to make database calls from Alfresco webscripts

I have a business requirement where I need to make the database calls from my Webscripts.

Please can anyone provide me with the link or the solution how this can be achieved.

Hi there,
What do you mean by "database access" ? You mean "bypassing the apis" ?
Or how to retrieve data from the repository ? In the second case, start reading the wiki "developement" section about the available APIs, they are almost all about accessing the data.

Its like allowing your enduser to edit your schema & metadata fields after production start … it might work (for a while), but might render your system almost useless with the next update/patch.
