Is it possible to configure the Alfresco share interface, so that it consumes less screen space to have a more compact view and have more things on the screen?

Maybe there are other "faces" which could be loaded, which modifiy the general presentation of data in the dashboards etc.?

Kind regards

Hello,

this is something you would try to achieve via a Theme that you can switch on/off (even using different themes for different sites in 4.0). See this docs.alfresco.com article about themes as a starting point.

Hi Axel,

thank you very much for your quick reply.
Is there a place where additional themes created by other people are available?
The in-built themes only seem to change the color scheme, but the size and distance of the objects seems to be the same for all of them.

Kind reagards

http://addons.alfresco.com is the place to look for extensions, either functional or purely visual.

thanks a lot, Axel!

However, if "theme" is the correct search term, there only seem to be other colors, but no other theme which modifies the screen space consumption.

Kind regards

This seems about right, but since I didn't check before, I could not be sure. Themes CAN alter some aspects of space consumption, but usually don't as there is not a lot of need for that. Quite a few users get by with zoom levels in browsers, the simple view in document library and (not so seldom anymore) their multiple monitors.
