How to link to the latest version of a document?

Is there a way to link to the latest version of a document? So, for example, if a new version of the document is uploaded, then any existing links will link to the newest version?

I've uploaded an image, however when I click the "View in browser" button, it still points me to the version 1.0 of the image, not the new version 1.1.

Is it possible to link to the latest version of a document, as a kind of dynamic link?

This actually sounds like a bug and might be worth raising in JIRA (https://issues.alfresco.com). View in browser should link to the latest version… can you confirm whether or not the link you're clicking on is not a working copy (e.g. that you've not locked the file to perform an edit). That won't change the fact that this might be a bug, but would be useful information when it comes to fixing it.
