How to integrate WCM content creation with email

I understand that it is possible to create documents in Alfresco repository by sending mails to some pre-configured email id.

Is this capability available on WCM side as well? Is there any documentation, etc available for this?

Email based submission to WCM is not currently available, but this would be a great enhancement request.  Would you mind raising this in JIRA (http://issues.alfresco.com/) then posting the ticket # back here so we can vote and/or comment on it?

Thanks!
Peter

As work around is it not possible to configure DM folders with an email-id and an in-bound rule to copy that content into a corresponding WCM folder?

Unfortunately the copy to Web Project action isn't very useful in practice, since it doesn't support such basic requirements as selecting which sandbox (specific user sandbox, current user's sandbox (if any), staging sandbox, etc.) the content gets copied to, nor does it allow selection of the destination folder within a Web Project (or better yet configuration of target folder mapping rules - a common requirement).

The good news is that it wouldn't take much to implement a more sophisticated version of this action - the underlying cross repository copy service (which this action leverages) does support all of these things.

Cheers,
Peter
