I have written code for radio button in the schema as :

<xs:simpleType name="my_choices">
<xs:restriction base="xs:normalizedString">
<xs:enumeration value="first_choice"/>
<xs:enumeration value="second_choice"/>
<xs:enumeration value="third_choice"/>
…
</xs:restriction>
</xs:simpleType>

<xs:element name="my_group">
<xs:complexType>
  <xs:sequence>
   …
     <xs:element name="my_radio">
     <!– force radios by using appearance="full" –>
     <xs:annotation><xs:appinfo>
       <alf:appearance>full</alf:appearance>
     </xs:appinfo></xs:annotation>
     </xs:element>
   …
  </xs:sequence>
</xs:complexType>
</xs:element>

my doubt is how to access the enumeration value defined the complex type as first_choice in xsl style sheet?

i'm not quite sure what you are trying to do.  i think context of the rendering engine, you only have access to the form instance data the user has entered - meaning only the generated xml, not the schema.

if what you are trying to do is set the default value in the form, you can do that by doing:
<xs:element name="my_radio" type="my_choices" default="first_choice">…</xs:element>
