how to enable versioning by type of documents

Hi team,
I'm searched some of the sites related to Alfresco.
And i'm stuckked to "Versioning can be enabled for a specific content type in the Alfresco content model".
This is i want to do now. can anyone tell me the way to do this.
Which files i need to change and what changes are required?
