how to copy data from one alfresco server to new alfresco

I installed the new alfresco server.
i have already old alfresco server .I want to copy all the data and users present in  old alfresco  to new alfresco.
Can anyone please tell me the procedure..

If there is an upgrade path between the two versions, you can copy your alf_data directory and database to the new environment. At the next restart Alfresco will notice it has to upgrade. I hope you dont need to merge the content of the two. That would require another approach.

I know the procedure of coping alf_data directory but taking the backup of users and restoring to the new alfresco server has become a problem.. can you throw some light regarding this…

i have old alfresco server that is 3.0 version that is installed in one system. Now i installed the 3.2r in another system.
now i want to copy all the existing users from old server to new server. i am not interested to recreate the users in new server.

there is away to do this ,you have to search with "Replication Service" OR how to perform replication service then you can know that steps of doing this.
