how to Configure Cifs in alfresco lab3

im looking to configure alfresco lab 3 … i have problem in starting a virtual drive & CIFS.. i cant get solution from the alfresci wiki also can u pls send me the link to configure alfresci CIFS

More details:  Your system info, the exact version of Alfresco (from logs), the config you are using and CIFS debug logs.

sorry, not really a reply but a similar concern.

my cifs is working but the desktop icons are not. when i click on the web client link, it takes me to page error. page cannot be found. instead of loading http://lamecklinux:8080/alfresco, it is loading http://www.lamecklinux.com:8080/alfresco.

I have copied the file-servers-xml config section to file-custom-servers-custom.xml but they are still not working. when I drop a file on the checkinout.exe shortcut, it prompts me that it is not a valid alfresco cifs folder.

I am using community edition 3b, tomcat bundle.

any support will be appreaciated.

From file-servers-custom.xml:

<webpath>http://${localname}:8080/alfresco/</webpath>‍

There are others as well.  Have you tried the latest version as well?

i have resolved the webclient shortcut. i had not saved the servername host in the windows client host file. after doing it, it worked. do i have to do anything to activate the desktop actions on the CIFS mapped drive? I have not tried the latest version. I wish to ascertain first that the problem is with this version before moving to another.
